Web Link Distribution

A web link creates a link you can use to send your survey in an email message or post online. You can create two different kinds of links; a standard URL that can be pasted into an email (starts with a http://) , or an html code to post on a web page that creates a link to take the survey (starts with <a href="http://). By default, the link will say ‘Click Here to take Survey,’ but you can type over the text in the link to change it.

URL Example: http://www.surveyact.com/s/AQzrbyluTAyxXKiX
HTML Example: <a href="http://www.surveyact.com/s/AQzrbyluTAyxXKiX">

To Create a Web Link:

Click on the Envelope icon at the top right of the survey editor, or click on Distribute in the sidebar. If this is the first distribution method you are creating for this survey, you will be taken directly to the New Method page. If you have previously created distribution methods for this survey, you will be taken to the Saved Distribution Methods page. Click +Add Distribution in the top right corner.

  1. Choose the survey that you would like to distribute.
  2. Choose Web Link from the buttons on the left, and name your link so you can refer back to it later.
  3. Choose whether you want to create a link for an email or a link for a webpage.
  4. Choose your Distribution Settings.
  5. Click Next. A pop up box will appear with the code for you to copy and paste.

Your saved web link can be accessed in the survey sidebar by clicking on Distribute and then Saved Distribution Methods.
