- Create the source question, which can be one of the following question types: Multiple Choice- Checkbox or Image Choice (Multiple Answers).
- .Enter your question text and response choices and click Save to add the question to your survey.
- Create the target question on a page that follows the page with the source question. The target question can one of the following question types: Radio Button (Multiple Choice), Check Box (Multiple Choice), Image Choice (Multiple Answers), Matrix of Drop Down Menus, Matrix of Choices (Single Answer), or Matrix of Choices (Multiple Answers).
- Check the box labeled Use responses to prior question? Choose the source question from the drop down box.
- When a respondent takes your survey, their responses to the source question will automatically be inserted into the answer choices of the target question. If your target question is a Matrix of Choices, the responses will be piped into the rows of the table.
Please note: Responses to an Other/Comment field will not be piped, so you may not want to use that option in a source question.
